SeedScience Project

Enhancing STEM teaching through practical, inquiry-based science education.

About This Project

The #SEEDSCIENCE project provides training in blended mode (in presence and online in live and asynchronous mode) of science teachers Ghana. Participants had the opportunities to acquire new knowledge and skills relating to science teaching and in particular to hands-on learning carried out with low-cost and easily available materials. They interact locally and online at a global level, creating an intercultural exchange on educational, social and environmental issues. To guide them in this path, there're volunteers and teachers previously trained by Seed Science who follows a further training mini-course to carry out their role as mentors.

SeedScience club members of Nsaba M/A JHS designed different circuit boards using available materials such as nails, dry cell, connected wires, switchs and LED.

Seeing these young ones embrace STEM education through efforts made by SeedScience and ICDP Ghana is an excellent step to building these ones to be the next generation of problem solvers.

On 22-09-2023, the SeedScience project engaged its beneficiaries, both online and onsite, in a competition. Student beneficiaries under ICDP placed 2nd in the competition. Seedscience is promoting Science and ICT in Basics Schools through equipping learners and teachers with knowledge and skills in STEM.
